In the Westfjords winter is king and it's coming this month. We should be getting some snow and the frost might be arriving. The nigths have started to get longer, but on those remember to take a look at the evening sky, cause you might catch the northern lights before you go to bed.
What to expect
October like other winter months can vary quite a lot when it comes to weather. I can be packed with snow with some days the roads closing or it can be mostly rain and wet. October in the Westfjords has about 8 daylight hours per day so keep that in mind when putting together your schedule.

- Rain pants/snow pants
- Sturdy walking shoes with a good grip
