Ólöf Arnalds started her solo career with "Vid og vid." On foreign soil, "Vid og vid" was chosen one of the best albums of the year by Paste Magazine and eMusic chose it as one of the best albums of the first decade of the century. Ólöf has since released the albums Innundir skinni, Sudden Elevation and Palme. She has performed on concerts across Europe, the United States and Australia and appeared on radio and television. A number of foreign media have covered Ólöf and her work. These include The New York Times, The Guardian, Vanity Fair, Paste, BBC, KEXP and Uncut. Ólöf's fifth album of songs and poems is expected in the spring of 2025. Ólöf has twice won the Icelandic Music Award and has been nominated for the Nordic Music Award for his work. Ólöf wrote new music together with Skúli Sverrissson for the play "Saknaðarilmur", which premiered in the last year of the Icelandic National Theatre, for which they won the Gríma Awards in 2024.
Skúli Sverrisson has had a unique career as a composer, recording director and improvisational musician with a wide group of international artists. These include Blonde Redhead, Lou Reed, Allan Holdsworth, David Sylvian, Davíð Þór Jónsson, Trio Mediæval, Arve Henriksen, Bára Gísladóttir and Bill Frisell. Moreover, he was a close colleague of Laurie Anderson for years. Skúli has played on over 200 releases. He has won the Icelandic Music Prize for his works a total of seven times and has twice been nominated for the Nordic Council's Music Prize. Skúli has written new music for Víkingur Heiðar Ólafsson, the Iceland Symphony Orchestra and for the dance works of Erna Ómarsdóttir. In the field of film music, Skúli has i.a. worked on the music of Hildur Guðnadóttir, Jóhann Jóhannsson and Ryuichi Sakamoto.
