Hannah Felicia - Dance Performance

The performance Hannah Felicia is a collaboration with four prominent Icelandic artists!

 

Hannah Felicia is about sisterhood and the relationship between two people. Or are we perhaps merely seeing two sides of the same person? That longs to be seen, accepted, and loved.

During the pandemic Icelandic choreographer Lára Stefánsdóttir created parts of Hannah Felicia over Zoom, with the dancers in Sweden while she herself was in lock-down in Iceland.

 

Lára Stefánsdóttir often uses the dancers’ own capacity as the starting point. During several years, she was artistic director and choreographer for Iceland Dance Company, and she has also been awarded several prizes for her own works.

The music for Hannah Felicia was created by one of Iceland's most influential artists and songwriters Högni Egilsson. With sound design by the composer Þórarinn Guðnason who has been involved in arranging the music for the blockbuster Joker (2019) with Joaquin Phoenix
in the lead role. The photos were taken by the Gothenburg-based Icelandic photographer Anna Ósk Erlingsdóttir, whose work has been exhibited at galleries such as The National Portrait Gallery in Australia and the Reykjavík Museum of Photography.
