Saltverk hand-harvests flaky sea salt from Arctic seawater, produced entirely with geothermal heat from the hot springs at Reykjanes. With access to some of the cleanest seawater imaginable, which is the raw material used for making sea salt.  

Saltverk was founded in 2011. Making sustainable, hand harvested product of high quality. Saltverk is used in many of the best restaurants and in the homes of food enthusiasts around the world.  

Local tip for the drive along Ísafjarðardjúp: stop at Saltverk in Reykjanes. Tours run daily at 10:00 and 15:00 from 15h of
june until 30 August, cost 2,199 ISK, and don't require booking.
