Stadur
About 8 km west from Reykhólar in Reykjanes in Austur-Barðastrandarsýsla is the church site Staður.
The rectory was at Staður until 1948, when it was moved to Reykhólar, where there had previously been an outchurch from Staður.
A local church was built in 1864 by Daníel Hjaltason, goldsmith, district manager and farmer. The building is open to guests own responsibility daily 8-18.
