On Sunday, August 10th at 1:00 PM, the author and poet Hallgrímur Helgason will read from his works and chat with guests at Steinn Steinarr´s House in Ísafjarðardjúp. The program at Steinn Steinarr´s House will consist of selected excerpts from the Sixty-Kilogram books and poems from the poet's upcoming poetry collection that includes rhymed and alliterative poems written over the past two decades.
Hallgrímur Helgason is the author of twelve novels, four collections of poetry, and one children's book. He has also made translations of two works by Shakespeare and one by Molière. Three of his novels have been nominated for the Nordic Council Literature Prize and three have received the Icelandic Literary Prize. Two stories have been adapted into films and four have been brought to the stage both at home and abroad. In 2021, he was awarded the French title Officier de l‘Ordre des arts et des lettres.
