This summer, I’ll be performing a concert series in three small churches in the northern Westfjords of Iceland.
The final concert in the series will take place at Sæbólskirkja in Ingjaldssandur.
Ingjaldssandur is one of those places in the world that I find difficult to describe with words. Its beauty is overwhelming, and there is a powerful sense of presence there.
The setup will be simple: voice, viola, and guitar. I’m very much looking forward to giving my first concert on Ingjaldssandur.
Sæbólskirkja is nearly 100 years old. It was designed by Guðjón Samúelsson, Iceland’s State Architect and one of the most influential figures in Icelandic architecture, and was one of his earliest church designs.
This concert series is supported by the municipality of Ísafjarðarbær.
