Gísli Súrsson

Performed were most of the saga takes place in Haukadalur Dyrafjordur. The play Gisli Sursson is based on one of the most famous Icelandic saga. Gisli Sursson was a great Icelandic viking that came from Norway when he was young and moved to Haukadalur in the Westfjords of Iceland. Everything is peacful for a while but just for a while for as the story unfolds there will be a great unrest for a while.
Gisli Sursson was premeried in 2005 and has been performed well over 300 times in Iceland and all over Europe feks in Albania, Germany, Luxemburg and Norway. The play has won an award at two international theatrefestivals.
