THE FACTORY art exhibition

The Factory art exhibition will be held in the old fish factory in Djúpavík from June 1 to August 31, 2018. The focal point of the group show is to explore the artists’ personal relation to, and perception of, Iceland. This year The Factory is hosting 16 international artists/artist groups.

Tungumálatöfrar (The Language magic)

6.-11. Aug
Tungumálatöfrar (The Language magic) is a summer course for bilingual or multilingual children, the aim is to create a language course through art education, as Icelandic is one or more of the children's languages. The course is designed for Icelandic children who have been born or moved abroad and children who have moved to Iceland but are open to all children.

Act Alone

Act Alone is a theatre festival dedicated to the art of acting alone, monodrama. The Act Alone festival is held every year in the village Sudureyri in the Westfjords of Iceland.

Tungumálaskrúðganga

11. Aug
Tungumálaskrúðganga (The Language Parade) is a celebration of diversity and the final day of a summer course for children called language magic. The parade is open to everybody living and visiting Ísafjarðarbær. It starts at 12 noon by Edinborg and heads to Neðstikaupstaður in the harbor area. Sing along and food feast for everybody. People are encouraged to bring flags, customs and props that create a festival atmosphere. We hope to offer food stands from different corners of the world.
