Hnifsdalur lies of edge of Skutulsfjordur, only a few minute drive from Isafjordur. Hnifsdalur is surrounded by nature, with the sea one one side and magnificent mountains on the other. Hnifsdalur offer many opportunities to explore the nature in it´s surroundings.

Although not actual travel services are in this small village, the nature and surrounding are an excellent opportunity for nature lovers and outdoor enthusiasts. In the 5km valley behind the village offers many hiking trails that lead to Isafjordur or even Bolungarvik. In the valley and the mountains above Hnifsdalur there many different types of trails, both moderate and challenging.
